Where and when is the CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference?
The CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 in the CMS Auditorium, which is located on the grounds of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, at 7500 Security Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21244. Parking will be on the CMS Campus. Please be sure to read “Parking and Entry to the CMS Campus” under the “Day of Event” page.

When does the CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference begin/end?
The CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference program officially begins on Friday, June 1, at 7:30 AM and concludes at 2:00 PM. Registration begins at 7:30 AM with the opening remarks beginning at 9:00 AM. Please allow extra time the morning of the event to get through security at the CMS Campus Entrance, as well as to go through the Security and Check In once you enter the CMS building.
Who attends the Industry Day Procurement Conference?
The CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference is an event that allows businesses to engage with contract representatives, CMS and SSA Employees, primary large contractors, and other agencies in the surrounding area.
What information is required to register?
Required information for all during registration:
- License Plate Number and state registered
Required foreign visitor information during registration:
- visitor’s full name
- country of origin and citizenship
- biographical data and related information
- place of birth
- passport number
- passport issue date
- passport expiration date
Please Note: Without this information you are unable to register.
How much does it cost to attend the conference?
It costs $99.00 for industry registration. There is no cost for government agencies to attend but registration is required.
- Industry registrants have until May 20, 2018 to cancel to be eligible for a full refund. After May 20, 2018, registrant shall be liable for 100% of the registration fee.
Foreign National Registrants:
- If disapproved, a full refund will be provided after May 20, 2018.
- When approved, foreign national visitors are required to produce a valid passport issued by their country of origin on the day of the visit.
- Foreign National Registrants who cannot produce a valid passport shall be denied access even if the visit has been approved. A partial or full refund will not be provided to those who cannot produce a valid passport the day of the event.
What’s included in the cost of conference?
The cost of the CMS | SSA Industry Day Procurement Conference includes the following:
- Registration for ONE (1) company representative
- Access to the Conference Program and Workshops
- Opportunity to participate in Matchmaking Session and network with Industry
Can I pay onsite?
There is no onsite registration and you must be registered by May 20th at 11:59 PM. Registration will be closed after this time and there will be no exceptions.
Will lunch be provided?
Lunch will not be provided. However, cafeteria on premises provides lunch at a cost.
Who qualifies as a government registrant?
Government registrants cannot be a contractor and must have a government email (.gov or .mil). Those who do not qualify as a government registrant will be removed from registration and will be asked to pay the industry attendee fee.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
You may transfer registration to another person until May 1st which is 30 days prior to the conference.
When does registration close?
The online registrations officially close on Sunday, May 20th at 12 AM. There is no on-site registration allowed.
I would like to schedule matchmaking appointments, how do I schedule an appointment?
All businesses that are registered will receive a notification that matchmaking appointments are open and can be scheduled.
Why didn’t I receive all the matchmaking appointments I scheduled online?
The Matchmaking Buyer evaluates the appointments to ensure capabilities “match” the buyers “NAICS Codes” or “acquisition needs.” No more than three (3) appointments should be scheduled. Appointments in excess of three (per seller) will be removed.
All Appointments must be accepted by the Matchmaking Buyer – Appointments will be sent to buyers for review and must be accepted by the buyer. No appointments can be confirmed without the Matchmaking Buyer’s acceptance.
What is the difference between the matchmaking buyer and matchmaking seller?
The matchmaking buyer is the purchasing agency or prime contractor that the seller will be meeting with. The business scheduling matchmaking appointments is the seller.
If you are a buyer interested in meeting businesses, please select “yes” to the question “Are you interested in meeting with “sellers” businesses during one-on-one matchmaking?”.
If you are a seller (i.e. small business or a large business) interested in scheduling matchmaking appointments, please select “yes” to the question “Are you interested in scheduling matchmaking appointments? By answering “yes” to this question, you will automatically receive a notification that matchmaking appointments are open and can be scheduled.
I am a buyer of product/services and would like to meet with businesses during the matchmaking session, how do I become a buyer?
If you are a buyer and interested in meeting businesses, please select “yes” to the question “Are you interested in meeting businesses during one-on-one matchmaking?” You may also contact the Customer Representative at email@example.com or (240) 918-1862.
Please note that there is limited space to become a buyer, therefore it will be a first come, first served basis.
